Romans 15:4
~The Bible didn't just "appear".
~There is only 1 "No Fail Hope".
---The word "hope" appears 180 times in the NIV.
---In this world, there's only one sure way available to us that can keep us from drowning & that way is for you & I to hope in the Lord in the way the Bible teaches us to do it.

3 Things the Bible says to us about our past.

1. God was there with us in our past.
Psalm 139:7-16
~Do we understand / accept this truth?

2. God wants us to allow our past to be our teacher but not our jailer.
Philippians 3:13-14, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
~You can't start the next chapter in life is you keep reading the last one.
~God wants us to learn from our past.
---We don't necessarily need to forget our past.

3. The strength of our relationship with Jesus determines the power our past has to positively or negatively impact our lives both now & in the future.
2 Corinthians 5:14-18, Matthew 7:24-27, Romans 8:29
~We become a new creation within Christ.
---The old is gone!
~Be wise & trust the words of Jesus.
