Sometimes we know about an event yet we choose not to attend.

Luke 19:1-7
*Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus.
*People often get angry with God when He works in a way they don't think He should work.
---People opposed, didn't like, & remained angry with Jesus throughout His entire ministry.
---God often doesn't meet people's expectations due to their opinions or worldviews of Him.

Luke 19:8-10
*Jesus called Zacchaeus a man of faith (son of Abraham).
*In verse 10, Jesus answered the questions of the people about why Jesus would hang out with sinful people like Zacchaeus.

4 Encouragements
1. Keep on making personal efforts even when opposition arises.
2. See every person as a potential person to follow Jesus.
3. Salvation is a gift, not an action we can make happen.
4. Jesus is willing to spend time with you no matter how far you think you have traveled away from Him.
